Chemical Process Digital Innovation Competition
Contestants
Full-time undergraduate students can participate in the competition as a team. Each team consists of 5 people from the same school, with 1 captain and no more than 2 instructors. Each student is only allowed to participate in one team.
Competition Form

Preliminary stage (Design part)
The participating teams complete the design according to the competition proposition and requirements, and submit the electronic documents and related documents of the design work on time.

Final Stage (Live Part)
The final stage mainly evaluates software operation and defense performance, which should be completed within a designated day. The software operation part needs to display the relevant steady-state modeling data and dynamic modeling data according to the software platform provided by the competition; perform relevant software operations on the start-up and shutdown of the device, failures, etc. response similarity. The defense part needs to explain the overall situation of the project, the use of each software, the accuracy of steady-state and dynamic modeling, etc., and to make a PPT defense report, which will be scored by the relevant judges. Taking into account the epidemic situation, the above finals may be held online.

Submission of Entries
Deadline for receipt of manuscripts and email address (to be determined), failure to meet the requirements of the registration time and submission of Entries that do not meet the requirements of the prescribed format and content will be regarded as an automatic waiver by the team. After the Entries are submitted, the pre-judgment team will conduct a formal review. If the submitted format does not meet the requirements, or the content is missing or incomplete, it will be automatically eliminated and cannot participate in the preliminary assessment of the competition.
Submission materials and requirements

The overall description document of the project, including the relevant steady-state, dynamic, DCS configuration for the use of the device, and the comparison with the real data materials provided. This file needs to be saved in DOCX format or PDF format.

The basic source file of steady-state modeling should provide the version number of the relevant steady-state software and can be opened in the relevant software. The steady-state process, equipment and results match the material balance table and related devices.

The basic source file of dynamic modeling should provide the version number of the related dynamic software and can be opened in the related software.

The DCS configuration source file should provide the version number of the relevant DCS configuration software and can be opened in the relevant software.

Providing a video file to demonstrate the computer operating environment, and to display the related steady-state modeling files, dynamic modeling files, and DCS configuration files. The state of the modeling operation should be guaranteed to be a runnable convergence state. This file needs to be saved in MP4 format.
Online Program
Considering the impact of the epidemic, an online backup plan will be made for the final stage (on-site part). The participating teams should prepare the venue in advance (the venue involved in this competition is not very demanding, ordinary classrooms with Internet access are sufficient), and set up the relevant conference platform as required, recommend Tencent conference, test the demonstration environment in advance, and meet the requirements of the competition. into the subsequent finals.
Others
Entries must be completed independently by the participating members of the team. It is strictly prohibited to work on behalf of others and plagiarize. If it is found that the entries are manufactured and plagiarized by others, the competition qualification will be cancelled.
In order to ensure the authenticity of the test questions of the competition, the basic data of the competition comes from real cases, and the participating teams should submit a non-disclosure agreement for the relevant data. The provider of the test questions has the right to use the intellectual property rights such as the related soft works generated by the competition.
Compared with other competitions, the main goal of this program is to more closely integrate the industrial scene of chemical companies with the professional education of relevant colleges and universities; using digital twin technology to promote the digital progress of the process industry. The title of the competition comes from the relevant process flow of the real factory. Through steady-state, dynamic, DCS configuration and other exercises, the relevant participants will get the training that fits the real enterprise, which will bring value to the digitization of the real enterprise in the future.
